That’s how I read it as well. The bit about adding scents to games? Come on, they’ll never implement the smell-o-vision idea, let alone defend it. 

I doubt they’ll go through the full process of bringing this application to completion. Seems more like typical Tommy, blowing a lot of other people’s money for the sake of appearances. 

Per this article, some benefits of a patent application include COMPETITIVE DETERRENCE, which seems unlikely here, MARKETING, which similarly seems like weaksauce, INVESTORS (ding ding ding!), and ACQUIRING COMPANIES, as if a larger company would bother with the video footbath.
