Found this little morsel to be quite interesting from Tiny Tallarico.

Editor: you can find him in many panel discussions from that time bagging on the Wii. That doesn’t mean he can’t change his mind – plus it’s very different to be a critic, as opposed to developing and selling something. 

He was wrong from a business perspective back then. Despite being the lowest-spec mainstream game device at the time, Nintendo’s Wii surprised everyone and became a breakout sales hit. He’s wrong again today, because he foolishly thinks there’s a hole left behind by the Wii’s family (and shovelware) focus. If Nintendo’s beloved software couldn’t make business lightning strike twice with the Wii U, what hope does Tommy’s Corn Hole Footbath have?
